In an interview with the Public Radio of Armenia, RSC Director Richard Giragosian reviewed the latest bellicose rhetoric coming from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and offered a general assessment of Armenian diplomatic negotiations with Azerbaijan.  The interview, conducted on 10 January, was with Astghik Sargsyan for her special show “Voice of Yerevan.”

RSC Director Richard Giragosian was the first guest of 2025 on the weekly analytical program for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s (RFE/RL) Armenian Service (Radio Azatutyun), interviewed by host Hrair Tamrazyan on 5 January 2025. Conducted in English, the interview was dubbed into Armenian, and covered a wide range of issues related to Armenian foreign policy, diplomacy and broader geopolitical developments.

RSC Director Richard Giragosian was the guest on an episode of the Contours podcast, speaking with podcast host Eugene Chausovsky.  Aired on 29 August, the podcast is the latest in a regular series of programs of the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy.  This segment, running for 30 minutes, focused on several trends and developments, including an assessment of the implications of a potential peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the changing roles of foreign powers in the region, and what the future holds for connectivity throughout Eurasia.

In a report by Balzhan Samigullina for Kazakhstan’s Silk Way TV news, RSC Director Richard Giragosian provided analytical commentary assessing Azerbaijan’s strategic ambitions in Central Asia.  The segment, entitled “Move to Central Asia: Azerbaijan's expanding geopolitical footprint,” aired on 17 August.
